John & Stephanie's themed shoot.
March 4 Last year I hosted a contest on my facebook page. I wanted fans to come up with creative ideas for a fun themed photoshoot that we could do, and whoever got the most "likes" for their idea won the contest.
John & Stephanie had a unique story to their relationship that they worked into their photo idea in a wonderful way. Here's what they had to say in their entry:
"During the first 20-ish years of our lives, my new fiance and I have worked at the same resort, lived down the street from one another, took classes together, and had mutual friends before finally meeting (and falling in love :). Our idea for a photoshoot is to do a fate/alternate reality theme, a la Sliding Doors with Gwenyth Paltrow (good movie if you haven't seen it!). Basically we would do a variety of scenes with 2 scenarios: one where we don't know each other or just miss each other, and one with us together!"
And so, after wedding season was done, we got together multiple times to go over their idea, to plan locations and scenarios and make the shoot everything they wanted it to be. Being that they both work at UVic, it only made sense that we would use the university for several of their shots. Take a look!
